How do I get crypto?

Option 1: Buy crypto on an exchange

If you don’t have any crypto, you can buy these cryptocurrencies on reputable exchanges like Kraken ↗, Binance ↗, Coinbase ↗, KuCoin ↗, MEXC ↗ or maybe even through your bank, and then send (or “withdraw”) the crypto funds you want to donate to the respective wallet address above.

Option 2: Buy crypto with Visa or Mastercard (doesn’t always work)

You don’t have any crypto yet and prefer using your Visa or Mastercard? No problem! There are several non-KYC providers, such as Mercuryo ↗, FinchPay ↗, or Monero.com ↗ that allow you to send Monero / Bitcoin / Bitcoin Cash / Litecoin to any of the above addresses. But please note that the payment might get blocked by your bank if they’re anti-crypto.

Below is a step-by-step guide using Mercuryo as an example:

  1. Go to Mercuryo ↗.
  2. Select BCH (Bitcoin Cash) as a target currency.
  3. Select your currency (e.g. USD or EUR) and enter the amount you’d like to donate.
  4. Click on Buy
  5. On the next screen, paste this Bitcoin Cash address as the recipient:
  6. Check that everything is correct and click on Continue.
  7. On the next screen, enter your email address (you will get a verification code), then on the following screen enter your name (it might also work with a pseudonym).
  8. On the final screen, enter your card details and click on Pay.
